Dare to Excel seeks dual credit, college scholarship donors

2012 Dare to Excel scholarship winner

The Dare to Excel Scholarship Program is seeking donors by March 26 for dual credit and college scholarships.

Sponsored by the Pearland and 288 Corridor Rotary clubs, the annual scholarship program will award approximately 40 scholarships of $500 or more this spring to Dawson and Pearland high school seniors.

In addition, this year the Northern Brazoria County Education Alliance is helping to sponsor dual credit scholarships for students who will attend Turner College and Career High School.

Businesses, service organizations and private individuals are welcome to donate or contribute to scholarships for seniors or dual credit students.

Last year, through the generosity of both Rotary clubs and other community groups and individuals, Dare to Excel awarded $34,000 in scholarships.
