Communications Header
  • The Pearland ISD Communications Department is proud to be the storyteller and relationship builder of the district. Each day the department shares the accomplishments of students and staff and focuses on open, two-way conversation with employees, parents, families and the community.

Department staff manages many avenues of district communication, including the website, Facebook and Twitter pages, e-newsletter, "Progress" newsletter, press releases and media relations. In emergencies and other important situations, Communications oversees the e-mails, letters, text messages and phone calls sent to parents, community members and the media.

The Communications team prides itself on supporting every school, department and employee district-wide with issues management, event planning, parent communications and graphic design/publication services.

In fall 2013, Communications helped bring community leaders together for the United for Kids community committee, which provides assistance to students and families through our annual Angel Tree program and during emergencies.

In addition, Communications helped launch RISE Mentoring in fall 2015, connecting caring adults with students to help them rise above obstacles to succeed in life.
